Bus Tour's
Book a bus tour now!
PoCoMo offers bus tours to interested individuals and groups. You can pre-book a bus tour for up to 3 people. The tours will be scheduled for a Thursday evening (off night) and the tour will introduce you to various "hot spot" areas youth hang. We will share our insight into our award-winning program, experiences, success stories, and provide an opportunity to engage some youth, along side qualified staff.
We are often asked by community individuals and groups about doing a ride-along. Unfortunately, our regular evenings are to demanding to do so, so we have come up with the bus tours.
What are the opportunities?
- You will get a couple hours of insight into what Project Reach Out is about,
- You will also get a glimpse into how we engage street involved youth,
- You will have an opportunity to chat with staff & a host board member,
- You will get an opportunity to chat directly with youth,
- You will be forever impacted by your experience.
Bus Tour Schedule:
When: (Flexible)
Length: 2 Hours - 8 pm to 10 pm
Where: Tri-Cities
Cost: Minimum $40 per person donation
Groups will be required to arrive early for a pre tour orientation.
What others have said about their tour experience:
"I had no idea that there were so many youth out late at night, and so young. I have two kids of my own and i can't imagine them hanging out sop late and in such frightening situations. I am thankful Reach Out is out there fro our kids." - Cindy
"I was so surprised to see groups of youth come running towards the bus. It's like a magnet. It shows how much they trust and respect it, let alone need it. I saw a 10 year old out past 10 pm. I was amazed at how the staff were able to contact the family and get him home safe. What a great crew." - Mary
"As a funder, i read hundreds of proposals. I try to visualize, get a sense of what the programs are and how they operate. To go out on a bus tour gave me the opportunity to truly understand and experience for Project Reach out. I am glad i did. Needless to say, we funded them. - Greg
" I had no idea that so much was happening in our community after the sun when down. I saw this as a quaint little community, and since the ride along, i realized that we are much more. That our services are no where close to what's needed for the teen on our communities. I have greater appreciation for the hard work PoCoMo has done to provide such a unique and valuable service. I look forward to my next bus tour." Kathy
"In my experience as a guest on the PoCoMo Youth Outreach Bus, I was able to gain first hand knowledge of the unique philosophy of youth engagement that is practiced by the program staff and participants. The methods employed by the PoCoMo staff allowed for the youth to participate in activities and dialogue that were meaningful to them. Youth were positively engaged in an environment that was non-judgmental and non-confrontational, which allowed for the youth to be comfortable, open, and honest in conversing and interacting with staff. Great program." -Christina
